Greetings friends and colleagues, I trust you enjoyed the recent long Easter weekend - I'm all refreshed for a busy April ahead! Our first April gathering last Wednesday was a different take on our regular "Member Behind the Badge" evening. It was a special night with several of us sharing our musical talents. Andrew McFarland and myself entertained with several songs by the Beatles and Neil Diamond, and the audience jumped in with some enthusiastic singing!
Can you believe it's March already? And where did our summer go? This week marked my turn to take the reins as Club President, as one of the "Three Musketeers" and co-Presidents for the year. Those of you who joined us for our mini-changeover got to see the three of us in full costume and at our swashbuckling best! (incriminating photos will soon be posted on our website and Facebook).
Welcome to the November Report. Yes, it’s only about 6 weeks to go before we can say goodbye to 2020. But behind the masks, more people are beginning to smile and look forward to better things in 2021. Big changes have taken place in November. In the USA, we have a new president and a new beginning. In Victoria, we are coming out of lockdown and restrictions are being eased. In the Rotary club of Templestowe, there is a new chair, as I will now represent our club for the next 4 months.
